Apple Workers Celebrate Steve Jobs Today

First family and friendsheld a small private funeral for Steve Jobs on October 7th. Then there was abigger private memorial serviceheld at Stanford University, withBono, Bill Clinton,and Bill Gatesamong the hundreds who attended. Now come news reports of a private employees-onlycelebration ofJobs’ life being held today at the Cupertino headquarters. Itwas announced in an email to Apple staff from CEO Tim Cookwho wrote it’s”to take time to remember the incredible things Steve achieved in his life and the many ways he made our world a better place.”The event will be broadcast live inside Apple. As a result, mostretail Apple Stores will be closed for several hours beginning at10 AMPT today.Employees across Asia and Australia will be able to view a re-broadcast of the celebration.
